Welcome to our web site!

On this home page we introduce our organization and highlight important areas on our site. (Please note that this website is new and has not been completed. Please be patient! There's much more to come.)

The Rockaway Beach Branch Greenway Committee is a group of New York City residents who propose to establish a greenway, consisting of a bicycle and pedestrian path, on the abandoned Long Island Railroad Rockaway Beach Branch right-of-way, which extends for about four miles from Rego Park to Ozone Park in central Queens.

Please visit our "Contact Us" page if you wish further information or want to help us.

Middle: Site of Woodhaven Junction station on right-of-way as it crosses Atlantic Avenue at 100th St. Clothing and garbage apparently discarded by homeless squatters living on right-of-way.

Bottom: Volunteers such as these high school students could help clear and beautify the right-of-way to assist in establishing and maintaining a greenway.

We invite you to contact us or attend an event. We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the organization and how you can help.
